As Britain debates what should be done to update our antiquated prostitution laws, this film takes audiences inside one of the biggest brothels in Europe, the Paradise mega-brothel chain in Germany, to explore what life is like for girls, clients and... management in a country with some of the most liberal prostitution laws in the world.
We meet the prostitutes, as they arrive from Eastern Europe to work in the Paradise. Few maintain any meaningful relationships outside their work. But, earning 1000 Euros a day, for many, this is a trade off worth making. For young men in Stuttgart, a visit to the club has become a right of passage. Divorced Peter pays 7000 Euros a year for unlimited access to the club. Feminists claim that because the club also offers saunas, Turkish baths and massage, Paradise is normalising prostitution, which sets a dangerous precedent.
