More people than ever before, are willing to risk it all to get to the UK. But as the boats keep coming, and the death toll keeps rising, the question of what to do with them has brought long-simmering tensions to the boil.

For 2 years,... Channel 4 has been filming with people who are determined to come to the UK, and those who are equally determined to keep them out. 18-Year-old Mustafa from Idlib in Syria has one goal, to get to the UK – whatever it takes. On the other side of the debate, 24-year-old Chloe from Llanelli in South Whales is worried about people like Mustafa coming to live in her town.

In this film we hear from both sides of the debate. This is the story of the Small Boats, told by those living through it.
