Across three episodes we meet those whose lives are reshaped by a cancer diagnosis: some, like seventeen year old Phoebe, coming to terms with this for the first time and weighing up the risks of trying bold, innovative treatments abroad; others, like belly dancer Yvette, facing the news that her breast cancer of twenty years has spread.
Combining observational filmmaking and fixed-rig cameras in hospitals, The Big C & Me enters the world of the cancer patient in 2016, demystifying a disease that affects us all.
