Wildlife poaching, worth £10 billion per year, is pushing some of our best-loved species to the brink of extinction. Three species of rhino already became extinct in the last five years – and if poaching doesn’t stop, all rhinos and elephants could... be extinct in the next 15 years. With manta ray numbers down by 80% in some areas and 11,417 sharks being killed every hour, they won’t be far behind. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall takes urgent action to preserve these species for future generations.

Hugh travels the globe, to the frontline with law enforcement agencies, going undercover to expose criminals. He stages stunts, tests the latest technology, tackles politicians and recruits powerful ambassadors – even Princes William and Harry.

From investigating the illegal rhino horn trade – challenging the South African Environment Minister about a proposed policy to legalise this – to testing the latest technology to prevent plundering of sharks and rays from a British Marine Protected Area, each hour-long episode features charismatic endangered species on land and sea.
