Save Lullingstone Castle
Lullingstone Castle in Kent is one of England's oldest family-owned estates. Since the middle ages it has been home to 20 generations of the of the Hart Dyke family. But today, despite appearances the estate is... almost bankrupt.
Save Lullingstone Castle follows the Hart Dyke's as they attempt to set in motion the most dramatic changes Lullingstone has seen since the days Henry VIII visited the estate. This turbulent journey sees them coping with business, horticulture and the problems of realising a grand vision as they struggle to get the project going. It provides a rare glimpse of one of Britain's last traditionally-run aristocratic seats as it is dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century.
Return to Lullingstone Castle
It is year 2 at Lullingstone Castle's World garden of Plants, the horticultural tourist attraction dreamed up by the maverick plant nut Tom Hart Dyke to save the family estate. To survive they must get 20,000 visitors this year, but, with Tom now responsible for all gardening, design and marketing, the pressure is beginning to mount, and Trevor is still not happy.
