In person Vegas is sensitive and thoughtful with a vulnerability that is impossible not to love. Quick of wit, he was even better company when reflecting on whether his obsessive collecting was filling a void a little bit. The show also offered pleasing insights into a world where even supposedly rival vendors and enthusiasts are unusually kind and helpful to each other.
