BBC ORDERS MORE BANJO & RO
26 June

Hello Halo has landed a second series of Banjo and Ros Grand Island Hotel, in which interior designer Banjo Beale and his partner Ro renovate a remote Scottish island hotel.

In the first series, which featured in iPlayers top 10 lifestyle titles of 2026, the pair welcomed cameras as they began to renovate a derelict mansion on the isle of Ulva and turn it into a hotel.

Having relocated there for the 6 x 60-minute second series, co-commissioned between BBC Scotland and BBC factual entertainment, they will take on the challenges of remote island life with a limited budget to get the hotel in business.

Beale said: We blew our budget last year so this time around were really getting creative. The plans are bigger, and so is our family.

As we continue the ambitious restoration of Ulva House, well be welcoming new puppies, peacocks, a llama and plenty of drama.

Life on a remote island is never straightforward, but thats exactly what makes it such an adventure. Therell be big dreams, bigger builds, hard work, lots of laughs and, you can bet, a few mishaps along the way.

Banjo and Ros Grand Island Hotel is co-commissioned for the BBC by head of commissioning for BBC Scotland Louise Thornton, with Heather Kane-Darling, and head of factual entertainment and events Catherine Catton, with Cal Turner.

The exec producers are Wendy Rattray and Joff Wilson for Hello Halo and the producer-director is Jo Sharpe.

Thornton said: Audiences adored being part of Banjo and Ros renovation story and were delighted to jump on the boat and revisit Ulva once again for more Grand Island Hotel adventures.

Although they faced their fair share of challenges, their vision was irresistible to watch and they warmly welcomed audiences across the country into their home.

The series is expected to air in 2027.
