BBC 3's Insider emerges at ABC, DR
13 October

ABC in Australia and DR in Denmark are among the broadcasters to have picked up BBC3 factual entertainment series Reggie Yates: The Insider from Hat Trick International (HTI).

UK distributor HTI has closed a range of deals for the factual entertainment series, including presales for the second season.

Reggie Yates: The Insider, produced by Flicker Productions in association with Keo Films for the UKs BBC3, follows the presenter to some of the worlds most diverse and demanding places.

The second season launched on BBC3 in September and has already been picked up by BBC Brit (Africa and Poland), TV3 (Ireland) and TVNZ (New Zealand), as well as ABC and DR.

The show follows Yates as he spends seven days inside the Domiz Refugee camp in Iraq before he experiences prison life while working as a guard in a US jail. The presenter then lives and works among the communities around Accra, Ghana, learning about the recycling projects supporting residents living in its slums.

Hat Trick continues to secure sales worldwide for the first two-part season of Reggie Yates: The Insider, from Keo Films for BBC3, signing pan-territory deals with National Geographic Channel Network (Latin America), BBC Brit (Africa and Poland) and AMC Networks (Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia).

Further acquisitions for S1 include ABC (Australia), VRT (Belgium), DR (Denmark), TV3 (Ireland), TVNZ (New Zealand), BNN (Netherlands), NRK (Norway) and TV4 (Sweden).

The first season saw Yates spend a week eating, sleeping and working alongside the inmates of a Texan jail and join the 56th Infantry Battalion in Acapulco, once a tourist paradise and now the fourth most dangerous city in the world.
