HAT TRICK INTERNATIONAL CLOSES MULTIPLE DEALS FOR TOP TALENT LED FACTUAL TITLES

London, 30th March, 2022
Hat Trick International (HTI), the UK-based factual and scripted distributor, has sold two of its most popular factual series Sarah Beenys New Life in the Country and Britains Beautiful Rivers with Richard Hammond to broadcasters around the world.
Both seasons of Sarah Beenys New Life in the Country, produced by Outline Productions for the UKs Channel 4, have been picked up by Australias Foxtel for the LifeStyle channel, Denmarks TV2, Greeces Tanweer Alliances, AMC Networks for Hungary, New Zealands TVNZ, Africas The Home Channel, Thailands Cineplex and Frances M6 Group AVOD platform 6play. BBC Studios meanwhile, has taken the first 8 x 60 mins series for BBC Earth in Poland, which follows property expert Sarah Beeny and her family as they swap the urban jungle for a new life in the country.
BBC Studios have also licensed Britains Beautiful Rivers with Richard Hammond for BBC Earth in Poland and Africa produced for Channel 4 by Cardiff Productions. The 4 x 60 mins series, offers a new perspective of the rivers Severn, Test, Clyde and Derwent, is also headed for Australia under a deal with SBS.
Sarah Tong, Director of Sales at Hat Trick International, said: If Sarah Beenys New Life in the Country and Britains Beautiful Rivers with Richard Hammond share one thing, its getting up close and personal with the UKs countryside and judging by the global interest in these titles, our country lifestyle has a lot of fans abroad. I think the pandemic has made many city-dwellers re-appraise urban living; Sarahs experience of exchanging her city life for mud and muck taps into a dream that many of us will recognise. Richard Hammonds exploration of the UKs most beautiful rivers, meanwhile, is rural escapism at its purest. With his easy charm and ability to be both interesting and interested, Richard is the perfect companion on a quintessentially British adventure.

The family has bought a semi-derelict former dairy farm in deepest Somerset where, surrounded by 220 acres of farmland, they are planning on building the house of their dreams a modern, carbon-neutral, mini-stately home.
